Temporarily Unable to Offer our Shared Group Tours

Per the CA guidelines for reopening, “pooled rides” (different travelers sharing one vehicle) “should be suspended until further public health guidance is provided for restarting such rides”. This includes all passenger carriers (including taxi, ride sharing companies, limos and shuttles). For this reason, in anticipation of modifications we will be required to make in order to reopen in the future, we currently are only taking future bookings for our private tours.

Shared Group Wine Tours

Shared Group Wine Tours are a fun filled social day of wine tasting with other travelers. So, if you are looking for a lighthearted, social experience, then the shared group tour is perfect for you! With this style, we keep the groups small – 8 people or less – guaranteed! Because small groups are more intimate, you may start off as strangers, but usually after the first winery you become more acquainted and comfortable. In fact, as the day goes on, you may even find yourself sharing interesting stories – as many of our travelers come from different areas, states and countries. By the end, you will have found new wines and made new friends!

5+ hours. Our tours usually last about five hours, not including door to door time. We plan to arrive at our first winery at 11 AM and leave our last winery around 4 PM.

What’s Included
All tasting fees are included! Many wineries charge $5-$20 each for tasting, but when you tour with us, we have you covered! We also provide complimentary chilled bottled water throughout the day to help you stay hydrated.

Area We Tour
We tour Sonoma County exclusively, so we do not offer tours in the Napa Valley.
Sonoma County has thirteen wine regions or appellations. Of those, we only visit the three northern regions: touring heavily in the Dry Creek Valley, and touching a little into either the Russian River Valley and Alexander Valley.

Wineries We Visit
Sonoma County is home to over 250 wineries. The guide will custom create each tour’s winery itinerary by matching up the best fit for the overall groups style with our 25+ preferred wineries. We tour four wineries that are smaller, family owned and/or boutique wineries making sure you get a true sense of what our wine country offers. Our preferred wineries were chosen for their wines, hospitality and the experience they provide our guests.

What to Expect
Your guide will accompany you into the wineries, introduce you to the staff (and maybe a wine maker or two), and will remain with you throughout the day to share their knowledge and answer questions. During the day you will learn about tasting wine, types of grape varietals, wine production, viticulture, and how to store, care for and serve wines. We usually spend some time in a vineyard, weather permitting. You will also have opportunities to purchase wines throughout the day.

Pick-ups – Door to Door Service
Door to door service! We pick up from most main locations throughout Sonoma County and Marin County (excluding the rural and coastal areas) and from the downtown area of San Francisco. Most companies offer “pick-up at prearranged public locations with parking,” which means you have to drive at the end of the day. You shouldn’t have to worry about driving after a fun day of wine tasting. That is why our door to door service is your best and safest option!

What’s Not Included
Guide gratuity and food.
Guide gratuity – optional, but always appreciated! Most guests tip 10-20%.
Food – we do not include lunch food as we want you to select a meal that fits your individual needs (diabetic, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, etc). We stop at a gourmet deli for you to purchase a lunch (or you are welcome to bring your own food), and then we all eat together at the next winery. Most guests spend around $15/person for their food.
