How do I know if you have a tour available on my preferred date?

Just give us a call at 707-478-7317, or send us an email at WCJourneys@gmail.com. We will be able to let you know our availability immediately and provide you with a price quote (be ready to answer the questions listed on our Reservations page).

Are advanced reservations required?

No. However, we strongly encourage you to make arrangements in advance to ensure we can accommodate your request. Being a small company, we book in quickly. In general, weekends fill up the fastest, and our busiest season is June through November.

Where do you pick-up?

We offer door to door service! We pick up from most locations throughout Sonoma County, Marin County and the city of San Francisco*. We believe that being the designated driver means just that. Most companies offer “pick-up at prearranged public locations with parking,” which means you have to drive at the end of the day. You shouldn’t have to worry about driving after a fun day of wine tasting. That is why our door to door service is your best option!

How much does a Private Wine Tour cost?

A minimum of $650* (based on two people on a typical wine tour schedule). Private Wine Tour pricing is a flat rate quote and determined by several factors, including your number of guests, your pick-up location, the time of year and day of the week you choose. To receive pricing for your particular private tour, please let us know the info requested on our reservations page.

How many people can you accommodate in a group?

While our vehicles can carry up to 11 passengers, we restrict all of our tours to 8 or less out of courtesy to the small wineries we frequent.

What are our eating options?

We will stop at a gourmet deli where you may purchase what you would like to eat. Then we will eat at the next winery before doing the tasting there.

We have some favorite wineries we would like to include. Is that possible?

No, we only tour the wineries on our preferred winery list. We have about 25+ small family owned or boutique wineries in the Dry Creek, Alexander and Russian River Valleys. We have selected our preferred wineries based on many factors, some of which include their wines, varieties, vineyards/landscape and hospitality. These wineries provide our guests with experiences beyond what the regular visitors receive. And at some you may even meet or taste with the winery owner/wine maker.

How long will our tour be?

5 hours not including the pick-up/drop-off times. We arrive at the first winery by 11 AM and leave the last one around 4 PM. Pick-ups/drop-off times are outside of those times. For estimates on pick-up/drop-off times, visit our pick-up locations page.

How many wineries will we visit?

You should plan to visit four wineries. Our wine tours are a relaxing, slower paced day, learning about and tasting some amazing wines from our preferred wineries. This makes for a more enjoyable wine country experience! If you are looking to just spend the day getting to as many wineries as possible to drink as much as you can, our tour is not for you. We are not a party bus.

May we drink alcohol in the vehicle?

Sorry, we do not permit drinking alcohol in the vehicle at any time. Many guests find that the amount of wine they are served after visiting all of the wineries is plenty. Our wine tours are for people who wish to visit the wine country in a relaxed atmosphere and are not designed as party buses.

Can I have my bachelorette party with you?

Sorry, no. We are not a “party bus,” and therefore do not accommodate any “partying” groups such as bachelorette/bachelor parties, dirty 30s, etc. We only tour small family owned and boutique wineries and they do not allow us to bring partying groups to their wineries. We do realize that not everyone celebrating these life events is wanting to party. If that is you, please call us and discuss, as we do have guidelines that must be followed.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please visit our Cancellation Policy page.

*Pick-ups/drop-offs outside Sonoma County are at slightly higher rates. Ask about your specific location.
